So for many who know me, know how much into bodybuilding I am… And not that I am competitive bodybuilder by any means, but have the love and respect for those who put their 100% into it…

I got into bodybuilding, and the way the human body grows muscle after a bad car accident I was involved in back on November 10th, 1998. At the time I was just an average 18 year old who worked out in the garage and just did my basic routine. After being involved in my car accident, and 2 weeks of being in the hospital, 1 broken hip, and crushed pelvis later I needed to really get back into the swing of life.

Thats when I bought my first issue of Muscle & Fitness… And I never put it down since.

I grew to see how the human mind works. Yes the mind. Because this really allowed me to see how individuals with a proper diet, training program, and supplements can transform their body into a work of art…

The reason I bring up the topic of bodybuilding, and music in one post is because they literally go hand in hand in my book. Bodybuilding, as music, is art. You shape, change, and dramatically evolve your mind, body, and soul into what you want it to be…

Music has a profound affect on us. Ever been to the gym and couldn’t get that last rep up, yet the second the music you love hits, you get this surge of adrenalin into your body and you lift like a mad man?! Ya, its happened to me, and it happens every time I work out.

Pro bodybuilder, and legend Kevin Levrone speaks out the human mind, and visualization very much on his own site, and I believe he does an amazing job of outlining how you can create your this sense of energy in your mind and put it forward in your everyday routine, thus evolving it into the body or desire you have. http://levronereport.com

In creating music, I have always said its a form of visualization as well… Many times people ask me how I produce… Whats the first step?! Well, for me, its to see it, and hear it first…

I say “see it”, because I want to feel the music before I open up a session and begin to record. I want to hear it in my head first so I can get goosebumps and know what it will sound like when its all done… And then I create…

Many times I sit back and ponder on certain emotions. I ask myself, what this music is making me feel the second I am playing it on a piano or demoing out in my head. How does it make me feel!? What can I record, and how can I record a certain melody to evoke the same emotions I’m feeling in someone who is listening to it?

Simple… And that is where the same methodology of bodybuilding comes into play… You put your mind to it, you dont back down, as hard as it gets to over come a barrier in music you continue to push forward… You have to be able to see or hear what you want and make it happen in reality, because its just so simple to make it happen after you have seen it…

So do me a favor, whether your a bodybuilder, musician, or an average person who loves to dream like I do… Take a look at what you want… Think to yourself how it feels to get to where you want… Picture it, feel it, taste it, and live it… Then make it happen… Because once you have seen it and really felt how great that feeling is, all you have to do is chase it each and every single day till you reach your destination…

So I decided to come back home to visit family, and celebrate my fathers birthday. Though he had been on tour and missed the actual date, it was fitting to really celebrate it now that he’s back home.

The fact is being back home, in a house where I practically grew up and experienced lifes many first, really takes you back and allows you to take a look at where you’re at currently in life. Its necessary to do so sometimes to take the right focus and direction onto what you need to do to move forward in the direction you were intended to go by…

The remix was that of a the PS3 game, Fallout. We entitled it “The Fallout of Eli”… Taking our influences from our own musical paths, and the soundtrack of Eli, this remix was aimed to really sound like a clash of all the influences we had.

So without further wait, if you haven’t seen or heard it yet, check this bad boy out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPUnkD7iZ54
